In 2019, Glenvale Melton Campus will be relocating to a purpose-built site in High Street, Melton. The new facilities will accommodate for the growing needs of students and teachers with new buildings, a multipurpose gym and conference facilities.
The new site is 2.3 times larger than the current land area, and will allow for the expanding student enrolment. All of this promotes a dynamic learning space where students will enjoy greater learning opportunities, a diverse community, and the chance to develop essential skills for success later in life.
Construction drawings and building permits are to be finalised by December 2017. Building is expected to start in February 2018 and the campus to launch at the start of the 2019 school year.
The current facility caters not only for local students, but for students from the nearby towns of Ballarat, Geelong, Sunbury and Werribee. A number of Secondary students travel from surrounding areas each day. Both Primary and Secondary are taught at the Melton site, with an annexe in Geelong to cater to the primary students in that area.
Course delivery includes face to face teaching from dedicated and experienced teachers on-site, as well as via video conferencing with other campuses. This allows a broader range of elective subjects to be offered and provides enriching interaction with other students. With small class sizes, learning support for needy students and enrichment for the talented, the campus is achieving excellent academic results.
Campus support also includes an enthusiastic community of Parents and Friends along with a dedicated team of volunteers.
At the Melton campus the students mix together very well. They are very friendly towards, and supportive of, one another. Our staff are very dedicated and work hard in supporting student learning and have great support from parents and the community.
Our Campus motto comes alive each day as we challenge our students to aspire to personal excellence. We offer leadership opportunities at all levels, and encourage students to take responsibility for decision making.
